Portraits

After watching parts of the Richard Avedon documentary, I was really inspired to try some of his techniques.  I enjoyed looking at his photographs because they truly captured the essence of the person being photographed and they communicated the hidden qualities in each individual.  There are more profound results when you take a candid photo rather than a posed one because the artificial aspects are taken away. I really wanted to capture people the way Avedon did.
